By this time, we have learned about all the features of the routers. So, it’s time to have an in-depth comparison between these.

As Tp Link Ac1750 Vs Netgear Ac1750 has almost identical features ao we will dive deep to compare these routers. As a result, I will break the comparison in smaller factors and compare them based on my user experience.

However,  some information might not match your region. Because routers are manufactured depending on the network type and requirements of a region. So, your router might have different features and firmware depending on your region

Design & Build Quality

As both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750  are standalone routers. So, both of them has similar design consisting of 3 antennas and 10-11 LED indicators at the front with ports at the backside.

However, Tp Link Ac1750 has a boxy shiny design and Netgear Ac1750 has a sharp aggressive design with mesh grills on both sides. The mesh grills on the side of Netgear Ac1750 make its airflow better.

Lastly, both of them have a high-quality plastic build. So, they are both durable.

Area Coverage

Area Coverage is one of the most essential factors for choosing between routers. Both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 good range and it’s enough to cover a medium-sized home.

However, Tp Link Ac1750 can cover more area than Netgear Ac1750. As it is advertised to have 2500 sq. ft of the range whereas Netgear Ac1750 have only 1500 sq. ft of range.

Moreover from my usage, almost both of them provide close to advertised ranges. I have got roughly 2200 sq. ft coverage from TP-link. On the other hand, Netgear Ac1750 can cover 1300 sq. ft of area.

But with advanced features like beamforming+ and QoS Netgear Ac1750 have the advantage of transpassing obstacles or thick walls. However, the coverage of TP-link is satisfactory too.

Device Connectivity

Device connectivity can be a big factor if you have a big family with a lot of devices. In terms of device connectivity, TP-link Ac1750 is the absolute owner. Because it can connect as many as 50 devices wirelessly and 4 wired devices.

On the other hand, there is no specific device count but from my usage, Netgear Ac1750 was able to connect 25 wireless devices without any issues. As it has a dual-core processor, so I am pretty sure it can handle 30 devices.

Performance

Both Netgear and Tp-link produce state-of-the-art routers currently available in the market.

However, Netgear and Tp-link are slightly different in terms of performance. Because while Tp-Link focuses on regular users, Netgear mostly focuses on performance-centric or gaming-focused consumers. Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 are no different.

So, in terms of performance, Netgear Ac1750 has some advantages. Because it has a dual-core 1GHz processor that is supported by 256MB RAM and 128MB flash.

On the other hand, Tp Link Ac1750 is a single core 750MHZ CPU with 128MB RAM and 16MB flash memory. So, Tp Link Ac1750 has a hard time competing with Netgear.

Moreover, the advanced Qos and beamforming+ make Netgear Ac1750 unbeatable in terms of performance.

From my usage, I have also found  Netgear Ac1750 to perform better and have a faster speed in both bands compared to Tp-Link Ac1750. But in terms of wired performance Tp-Link is better because all the ports are gigabit.

Furthermore,  Tp-Link Ac1750 has an extra antenna too. Though it helps with range in terms of performance, Netgear Ac1750 would be my choice.

But the performance difference will not be noticeable to regular users.

Stability & Reliability

Network Stability and Reliability are one of the most important features of a router and it depends on the CPU and RAM of the router.

Because connected devices use a portion of the CPU and RAM of a router. The more devices get connected the more pressure the router gets and it starts to heat. As a result, the router stops dropping signals.

Though Tp-Link Ac1750  has a weaker CPU and RAM compared to Netgear Ac1750. But its better resource management and software optimization made it one of the best in terms of Network Stability and Reliability.

However,  Netgear Ac1750 is not a weak competitor either. Because it has a better CPU and RAM with a better cooling system. So, it can provide a stable and reliable connection in any situation.

From my testing, I have found both of them are great in terms of  Stability and Reliability. However, I would prefer Tp-Link Ac1750 because it can cover a wider range and more devices with a stable connection.

App and User Interface

As we have mentioned earlier, the Tp-Link Tether app has a simple interface. You just need to scan the QR code and download the app to set up. Anyone can set it up within minutes.

The web interface is easy to use too. Moreover, you can control your network remotely with the app. But there is no advanced network control available.

On the other hand, Netgear’s nighthawk app is quite complicated. Although it’s easy to set up. But controlling the network can be tough for regular users. The web interface is similar. However, in terms of advanced network control nighthawk is great.

Lastly, both of the brands provide regular updates to solve firmware issues.

So, we can say the TP-Link app is better in terms of user experience.

Wireless Bands

The number of wireless bands also plays a vital role in the overall performance of your router. Both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 are dual-band routers.

Both of them have a 450Mbps 2.4 GHz band and a 1300 Mbps 5GHz band. But Tp Link Ac1750 has an extra antenna for its 2.4 GHz band

However, in terms of 2.4 and 5GHz band performance Netgear would be the winner. Because it provides a stable connection speed for both bands.

On the other hand, on my usage Tp -Link ac1750 provided great speed on 5 GHz. But the 2.4 GHz band has connectivity issues. I looked it up on the internet and found many users are facing the same issue. So, there must be a firmware problem.

As a result, if you want great performance on both bands then choose the Netgear Ac1750.

Ports

No matter how good your router’s wifi is, a wired connection always performs better than a wireless one. So, having sufficient ethernet ports is mandatory.

Both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 have at least 5 ethernet ports. Among them, 4 are LAN ports and another one is uplink port. Moreover, both of them have one USB port for file sharing.

If 4 LAN ports are not enough for you then you can consider buying a switch

So, both of them are great if you consider the number of ports. However, all the ethernet ports of Tp Link Ac1750 are Gigabit. On the other hand, the ethernet ports of  Netgear Ac1750 are 10/100/1000 Mbps.

As a result, Tp Link Ac1750 has an advantage over Netgear Ac1750 in terms of LAN speed.

Security Features

Security is a crucial factor to consider nowadays. As everything is online, cybercrime is pretty common.

Both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 have built-in security features. However, Tp Link Ac1750 has enterprise-grade security. So, it’s more secure than Netgear Ac1750. Moreover, with Tp Link Ac1750 you don’t have to subscribe to any cybersecurity software.

Moreover, both of them have parental control built in. So, you don’t have to waste money purchasing it separately.

Advanced Features

Netgear has always been providing a ton of advanced features with its routers. Netgear Ac1750 is no different. It comes with Advanced QoS and beamforming+. So, your network performance becomes even better.

On the other hand, Tp Link Ac1750 does not come with any advanced features. So, if you are looking for state-of-the-art advanced features. Then you should avoid it.

Customer Support

In terms of customer support, Tp-Link and Netgear both are great. Their web pages are filled with troubleshooting methods. Moreover, they have forums too where you post any issues, and experts or other users will answer.

Though I had never contacted their support. But from my research, I have found both their live chat and customer support are quite responsive. So, no complaints.

However, Netgear goes the extra mile here. Because they provide free technical support for the first 90 days. If you face any problem a Netgear technician will come to your place and solve it for free.

Affordability

In terms of affordability, both of them are quite affordable and value-for-money products. However,   Tp Link Ac1750 is a few bucks less than Netgear Ac1750.

Though Netgear Ac1750 has less range and device support considering the price. But it comes with some pretty cool features. So, you need to consider that too.

By this time we have seen an in-depth comparison. But which one should you choose?

Actually, it depends on your usage and the type of user you are. Because almost both of them are value for money products. Moreover, from my usage, I found both Tp Link Ac1750 and Netgear Ac1750 reliable. So, it’s hard to suggest one.

As a result, I’ll suggest based on usage.

So, if you are a

  • Regular User
